Integrity Chamber Provides Information Session on Integrity to the Police
On the 21st of June, 2022, the Integrity Chamber provided two (2) information sessions on the importance of integrity to the Police (KPSM). The information sessions were presented by Integrity Chamber members Hans Lodder and Rafael Boasman, each with the assistance of secretariat representatives, Kevin James, and Amanda Browne.
The sessions included information on the tasks and working methods of the Integrity Chamber, discussions on the definition of integrity and the aspects of integrity that were specific to the responsibilities of the Police. The participants were encouraged to be mindful of their actions as servants of the community. Tips were also provided on how to maintain integrity within the organisation.
The information sessions were informative and interactive. The participants reflected on the information that was shared in the session as it related to their current duties and responsibilities within the executing agency.
The Police expressed enthusiasm to learn more about integrity policies, the authorities of the Integrity Chamber with regards to investigations, and the aspect of confidentiality when filing notifications of suspected misconduct. The Integrity Chamber applauds the Police for recognizing the importance of upholding integrity within the organisation.
